At the crossroads of highways 10 and 55, the city is located near Sherbrooke (30 km), Montreal (110 km) and the American border (30 km). <\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the Regional County Municipality of Memphremagog, it is also one of the most dynamic regional centers on the socio-economic level. Its economy is diversified and avant-garde in the health, responsible tourism, knowledge and green technology sectors, while encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs. In a way, it continues the mission of its founder Ralph Merry who, to meet the essential needs of the inhabitants, built flour mills, forges and sawmills in 1809.  <\/p>\n<p>People also like to stay here for its cultural activities, which are accessible to all age groups and budgets.
