Lake is a town of more than 5,600 inhabitants with, in its center, one of the last traces of what was once the Champlain Sea, Brome Lake.<\/p>\n<p>Brome Lake is a town with a 14 km\u00b2 lake, but it is above all, since 1971, the fusion of seven villages that are scattered all around the lake.<\/p>\n<p>Knowlton is one of the most imposing and one of the twenty most beautiful villages in Quebec. Its Loyalist heritage makes it special. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aubergeknowlton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Knowlton Inn<\/a>, in operation since 1849, is the oldest inn in the Eastern Townships and the Historical Society\u2019s museum and heritage tour immerse its inhabitants in the atmosphere of yesteryear.   Knowlton is also the commercial and artistic center of the Town of Brome Lake. On the shores of the lake, you can enjoy the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marinaknowlton.com\/?lang=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marina<\/a>, the architecture of the ancestral houses and the surrounding trails.
